When justice only feels valid when it targets your political opponents, but suddenly becomes a “witch hunt” the moment it circles back to your side, you’re not defending justice, you’re performing partisanship. Real discernment doesn’t pick a team and call it truth. It asks: are the rules being applied consistently? Is the evidence weighed evenly, regardless of whose name is on the docket? If you cheer indictments when they’re convenient and discredit them when they’re not, you’re not seeking accountability, you’re seeking control. And that’s not justice. That’s narrative management dressed in righteousness.
