Science loses its power the moment it’s treated like a tribe. The call to “trust science” should never mean blind allegiance to personalities or institutions, it must mean trust in the method, evidence, replication, and correction. Discernment is the difference. A method can endure questioning, an identity cannot. When debate is replaced with conformity, and loyalty takes precedence over truth, credibility erodes.
