When political rage turns opponents into monsters, we’re no longer defending democracy, we’re reenacting the very mindset we claim to resist. Comparing every adversary to Hitler doesn’t honour history, it weaponizes it. This kind of rhetorical inflation doesn’t elevate the cause, it corrodes it. Discernment means holding the line between justice and vengeance, between warning and hysteria. If your resistance requires dehumanizing millions based on who they vote for, you’re not resisting fascism, you’re reflecting it.
