Honor History with Clarity and Discernment

Words matter, especially when they carry the weight of history. Calling modern detention centers “concentration camps” might feel bold, but it isn’t brave, it’s historically reckless. Real concentration camps were instruments of genocide, mass torture, and systemic annihilation. Using that language lightly doesn’t honor the past. It distorts it. Discernment demands more from us. It asks for clarity over drama, truth over emotional ammunition. If we want to oppose injustice, we need to be precise, not performative. When we rewrite the past to score points in the present, we don’t look righteous, we lose credibility. If history is sacred, we must treat it with respect. #TruthOverTribe #DiscernmentMatters #ClarityIsCourage #HistoryIsNotAProp
