Is the soul of an entire state defined by one person in power? If we throw out discernment and declare every citizen guilty by association, then we’re not standing for justice, we’re just fueling another kind of extremism. Yes, harmful policies must be called out. Loudly. But within those same states are people resisting, organizing, and protecting each other. Erasing their efforts in the name of outrage doesn’t uplift the cause. It flattens it into narrative. Discernment means confronting harm without denying complexity.
