We’re told enforcing laws is fascism, that disagreement is violence, and that emotional certainty outranks factual clarity. The irony? The loudest voices decrying authoritarianism often demand the most rigid ideological conformity.
Discernment is a threat to this mindset, because it refuses to trade precision for outrage. It holds the line when others reach for exaggeration. And it’s the only thing that keeps truth from drowning in noise.
